Consider it pure joy, brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that testing your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. // James 1:2-4

This verse has three things going on.

I- Response to Trials..

II-Reasons for trials..

III- Results of trials..
Let’s look deep into it..

RESPONSE:

James 1:2 – Consider it pure joy, brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds…
Saying brothers and sisters is like saying sons and daughters of The King. So this verse is speaking to each one of us. During the trials we face in this life, we are all told to consider it joy. Consider the things we go through JOY! So our response to our trails is joy.

REASON:

James 1:3 -..because you know that testing your faith produces perseverance..

We should allow what we go through joy BECAUSE we test our faith. While going through our trials and tribulations, our faith is tested to see if we trust God & allow Him to take over our body, soul, & mind. When we test our faith, it becomes perseverance. We become patient, and feel that glory from God. Testing our faith makes our faith stronger. The reason for our trials is to test our faith to become more like Christ.

RESULT:

James 1:4- Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
To be mature means to be fully grown while complete means full. Our perseverance allows us to lack NOTHING because we are WHOLE with our trails. The trials we go through are what build up our endurance, and to become mature children of our Father. The result of trials is becoming whole with God from our trials.

Reason: Joy.
Response: Testing our faith for perseverance.
Result: Being complete.

None of our lives are perfect. We all have different things going on at different times. During these time we need to look at these trials as joy. Joy because our faith gets tested, and we become complete. We should give all we got to Christ & allow Him to take over. Give Him all of our worries, stress, and emotions. Our trails bring us to Him!

God doesn’t put things in our life because we’re strong enough. He puts them in our life because the only way we can get strong enough is only with Him.

Let’s pray-

Dear Heavenly Father,

How majestic You are. Lord I ask as I face trails in my life, I will look at them with joy. I will thank you for what I go through because I will only become stronger in my faith. I will feel You come into my heart to get me through trials that I feel like are bringing me down. Lord, I ask with every problem I face, I will seek You and I will find You. I pray that during rough times, I will fall on my knees and give everything I have to You. Thank You for never giving up on me.

In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Xoxo,
Brayclyn
