not one. but TWO CUPS of coffee.
I went to Starbucks this AM. Asked for a iced grande caramel latte. I get to the window, and the lady told me they charged me for a grande, but gave me a venti.
I chuckled. Thanked them. Then paid a blessing behind me.
I then get to work. And I have a large iced coffee on my desk from a technician of mine. He told me he went to wawa and knew I loved some iced coffee in the AM.
at this point, I have TWO LARGE iced coffees that I have zero idea to do with. Caffeine gives me heart palpitations in the first place. So what the heck am I gonna do with all this caffeine?
It made me think, of course, spiritually. How many times does God just provide MORE than we ask or expect? We pray for X amount for a mission trip, and He gives a couple extra dollars. We pray for a job opportunity, and two come up. We pray for a Godly friendship, and He leads is to a church full of them. This isn’t saying He will always answer our prayers the way we want, but rather what He think is best + what is according to His Will. But when He does answer them, He usually surprises us.
Or on the flip side, His love and grace. We ask for forgiveness, and He provided blood dripping on the Cross. We ask for a deeper connection with Him, and His Spirit is always abundantly present. We don’t deserve it – we don’t even need to ask for it.
God shows up. He loves us endlessly. He overwhelms is with His grace and mercy. Gods grace is abundant. He continuously pours it out us. Arms wide open. Presence ready for us. It’s unimaginable.
And not only this – but we can pass it onto others!!!! I blessed someone behind me. I had to give me other large coffee away because I didn’t need it. So I passed it along. I blessed someone else with it.
How can we pass along His grace? How we pass along His love? By being a representative of Jesus. Never perfect like Him. But just little characteristics of Who He is & the things He would do.
Hold the door for them. Say a prayer for them. Bless them financially. Hug them tighter. Speak love into them. Give them a cup of coffee. Support them. Wash their feet.
This is my Ted talk from two cups of coffee. Thanks for tuning it. I pray you see the analogy here.
Let God over-pour in your life. See His blessings. Show someone else that love and grace we receive.
“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen”. Ephesians 3:20-21
I stared this blog in about January of 2016 to share His Word in a creative way. I was praying one night, and it kind of just came onto my heart.
I pray that The Lord may speak to you through me, I can only hope I can help you in your relationship with Christ.
