I remember when I danced, after every competition my parents would say the same thing to me.. “You did an awesome job honey!” I could have forgot my dance moves while performing, but my parents would still tell me I did a great job. On the other side of that, lets say I hit every count & was workin’ it! I would get off stage, and my parents would still be telling me that I danced beautifully. My point is, no matter the outcome of my dancing that day, my parents were still cheering me on & supporting me.
That’s how we should be treating God. Bad storms vs good storms, we should still be cheering Him on. Dear ones, God knows His plans for you. They are unique and special. Do we realize how we act when trials come vs when the best thing happens? Obviously we are more happy & positive when good things are happening. However, we have to keep remembering that storms eventually run out of rain, and there is a beautiful rainbow that follows.
“The things you wish were most removed from your life are often the very things that God is using to shape you and make you into the believer of character He wants you to be. ” – Rick Warren
Through any obstacles we may face in our lives, God catches our tears. He is with us every step of the way, even on the days we don’t feel Him. Draw near to God and know that He is holding you tight while you are struggling. He is whispering in your ear, “Child, focus on Me, trust Me, I know what I am doing.”
God is an expert about bringing the good out of the bad. He does not cause evil or suffering. He allows it to happen because you will grow, you will be strengthened. He sees potential in you while dealing with yucky things. God will use those hurting moments for something better. God, for example, didn’t stop Jesus from dying on the cross. He allowed His one and only son to suffer and to die. Sounds bad, right? Now look at it, Jesus rose. Jesus saved you, Jesus saved me. You are bought by His blood. God sees the whole forest, we see the next tree. Trust in God and His timing.
“At present you may be temporarily harassed by all kinds of trials. This is no accident. It happens to prove your faith which is infinitely more valuable than gold.” 1 Peter 1:6-7
I understand, I am just as guilty as you. Going through storms IS scary. It IS hard. It IS devastating. But it IS beautiful. It IS lessons. It IS love. Keep your eyes focused on Jesus Christ. Praise God! Praise Him when bad things happen, praise Him when you get the best news. Praise Him in this storm, praise Him while the sun in shinning. When life takes a toll on us, tell God, “You are doing an awesome job.” When life is falling together perfectly, tell God, “You are doing an awesome job.”
“And I’ll praise you in this storm
And I will lift my hands
That you are who you are
No matter where I am
And every tear I’ve cried
You hold in your hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise you in this storm” – Praise You in the Storm, Casting Crows.
I stared this blog in about January of 2016 to share His Word in a creative way. I was praying one night, and it kind of just came onto my heart.
I pray that The Lord may speak to you through me, I can only hope I can help you in your relationship with Christ.
