If I’m going to be honest, the past week hasn’t been the most pleasing week for me but hey guess what ??? I am in total awe right now.. With the abundant amount of love that I feel from the Lord. Its amazing how powerful God is, seriously. If you sit back to think about it & feel it, its a feeling that is so indescribable.
Though it does get hard sometimes, the result from living a Godly life is so rewarding. You have a hope in something greater, you feel that closeness with the Lord. And feeling that closeness with Him alone is amazing. I’m not sure how you spend your time with God, but when I do – in that moment – nothing can compare to it.
I know this is going to sound cliché, but Jesus died for you. He gave you life. OK seriously, with that alone, what does that compare to? Jesus got prosecuted, made fun of, forsaken, and beaten for YOU. How special.. That someone loves you so so much that they were willing to give up their life for yours. John 3:16 – the most known verse in the Bible – explains how much God alone loves us. And because God loves us so, we were able to get saved by His Son. He gave up His son, for you alone.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:16
No matter how hard you try, no matter how hard you look, you will never feel a love so strong other than from Christ. Its a different kind of a love. But a love that is so special and that will last eternally. Once you expierence it, it’ll become a habit, something you will long for. Well, at least for me. (Yes, I’m a Jesus freak and I am NOT ashamed.)
**My heart is full.**
Developing a relationship with the Lord is full of emotions. It can be hard, there will be doubting, there will be lost hope, but it lasts a lifetime. Our God is SO good man, like I’m getting the chills good. Like when you listen to a really good song and get the chills. Except these chills are like 20x stronger. OK anyway…
“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us”Romans 5:8
My point is..
Yeah, going to your parties, getting wasted, being in a relationship or skipping church on Sunday can make some people happy… But no matter what you do – no matter where you find your happiness – there will never be anything that’ll be able to compare to the love the Lord has for you, and how beautiful a relationship with Him is.
It’s not easy and it’s not all butterflies and rainbows. You will still continue to sin, to fall short, and to doubt.. But living in the covenant of God is something that is so special. A relationship with Him is something that is everlasting, something that can’t be compared. A bond that cannot be broken.
Compared to God, man is nothing; yet we are EVERYTHING to God.
It is never about Jesus if it’s always about us.
I pray that The Lord may speak to you through me, I can only hope I can help you in your relationship with Christ.
