love, love, and more love

The love we receive from Jesus Christ doesn’t even compare to the love this world could give you.

In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.// 1 John 9:4-11

When we think of love, we often think of or boyfriends surprising us with flowers, or our moms buying us what want. We often think of love as something that can be replaced. Replaced with different friends or boyfriend/girlfriends, or different makeup or clothes we love so much. Gods love can NOT replaced. No matter how much some one wants His love to just go away, it’s not. It’s unconditional. Gods love is a love we will never experience from anyone else.

The love God provides to us is so indescribable beyond measures. Nobody or anything will ever be able to love as much as Christ has and will love you.

His love is unconditional, it is forever. Because we have Christs love, we have everything we need. With His love comes forgiveness, peace, comfort, mercy, grace, a RELATIONSHIP.

Tonight at my small group, we were talking about the rules vs the relationship. The “rules” are important. The “rules” are respecting our Heavenly Father. However, the rules isn’t what God is about. When people think of Him, they often think of all these rules and commands you can not break. Following rules becomes a routine. It’s something your used to. And just because we follow the “rules”, doesn’t mean we have it all. In fact you don’t. When we have Jesus Christ we have it all.

When I personally discovered my relationship with Christ, the rules disappeared from me. I was not focused on them. It became a way I lived, not because it was a routine. But because it’s the way we’re supposed to live. In reality, the “rules” are protecting us, they are preparing us, the rules are the most appropriate, real way we are supposed and should live.

Well what does rules and a relationship with God have to do with love?

—-If we didn’t have Gods love, we wouldn’t have the majestic opportunity to find that relationship with Him. If we didn’t have Gods love, there would be no rules to guide us to Him and draw us closer to Him. If we didn’t have Gods love, this world would be lost. Us, Christians, have the chance to be the ones to change this world. We are called to show His love. Although it will never measure up to His for us.

But God shows His love of us in that while we we’re still sinners, Christ died for us.// Romans 5:8

Don’t ever think that a relationship with someone on this earth can fix that hole in your heart your missing for Jesus. Don’t be searching for love so fast, or rushing to find love, because you have had love before you even knew what it meant.

Christ loved/loves you so much, that He took His life for you! You are loved more than you will ever believe or think.

How are you showing Gods love today?

It is never about Jesus if it’s always about us.

I pray that The Lord may speak to you through me, I can only hope I can help you in your relationship with Christ.
