I get it. We’re human. We have a disgusting world around us, and a devil attacking us. We have spiritual warfare going on. But what I also know, is that we have a God who is stronger and higher than it all.
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is, His good, pleasing and perfect will.”// Romans 12:2
We will make mistakes, we will sin. You can’t pick and choose. You can’t be one foot in and one foot out. Who are we, as Gods creation, to determine which parts of the bible we want to apply to our own lives? Us, Christians, are NOT any more famous, loved, perfect, pure, than people who aren’t christian. God does not love any one else more than some one else.
I’m sixteen. I have not discovered life. I have not read the whole bible. I have not seen Jesus face to face. I have not been on a mission trip. But I do have a relationship with Christ. And I believe He will forgive me for the sins I have chosen to do. I have made mistakes, and I have a testimony. Everyone does. Everyone has those moments when they need to confess their sins to Christ, they need to find Him again, they need to serve Him more, or they need read and learn more about Him. We are all at different levels at our relationship with Him, and we will never know anyone else’s relationship with Him.
“He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.”//Romans 4:25
How awesome… God sent His one and only son, to die for you. Before us humans existed, God gave us Jesus. Jesus was nailed to that cross, He was crucified, He was abandoned, He was made fun of, He was called names, to die.. for you and your sins. So by the blood of Jesus Christ, you are saved. From sin to sin, day to day, confess your sins, and God will forgive you. It is a promise.
It’s hard in this world. This world is going crazy. (Call me crazy if you don’t believe me.) Its hard to show His love, share His word, and serve Him. It’s hard because of the type of people in this world. You will stick out. You will get made fun of. You won’t fit in with the popular people. But let me ask you this question.. Will these people matter when you die and meet Jesus face to face? Think about it. Pray about it.
There aren’t many Christians around anymore. Being surrounded by bad influences, negativity, temptations, curse words, and everything but Jesus is hard. But we will be blessed. Keep your eyes on the Lord. We’ll slip and fall. We’ll make mistakes. We’ll feel distant from God. But He will never stop loving you, forgiving you, nor forsake you. Sometimes we are so undeserving of it all. The Christian walk isn’t easy, what so ever. Everyday there will be struggles, and sins that across our daily lives. God doesn’t expect us to be perfect, so let’s not try to be. Sinning can bring us closer to Him; it can allow us to humble ourselves before Him and to trust Him.
2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
Give your life to Him. Allow Christ to purify your heart, and to make you new. For He cares for you, always. Don’t let the devil win, we have a God who is above all.
I stared this blog in about January of 2016 to share His Word in a creative way. I was praying one night, and it kind of just came onto my heart.
I pray that The Lord may speak to you through me, I can only hope I can help you in your relationship with Christ.
