Recently, I have been too involved worrying about what will happen in my future versus trusting what God has for my future. Tonight I was spending my time with Him but before I do, I always pray. I was praying that I will start to trust in His plans for my life rather than me trying to figure it out all on my own. I prayed that He would speak to me and allow me to let go and let Him. I finished reading my bible for the night and moved on to my devotional.. September 9th… “Walk with me along paths of trust.” That was the first sentence of my devotional. And the first sentence that lead me to my answer.. Trusting God is the only way I will be able to get through this thing called life. (Of course I started to cry because God knew what I needed to hear and when I needed to. Goodness, He is so merciful. I am so in awe right now.)
The farther you rely on your path of unbelief, the harder it is to remember that God is with you. Trusting God and His plans can be tough. Especially when we want it our way and our way only.. But sit back and relax. Breathe. Meditate on the fact that God is in charge and He will do nothing to harm you. “Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.” Isaiah 26:4
Think about it. The God who put the stars in the sky, met the ocean with the land, brought lightness and darkness, and everything in between is the same God who has plans for your life. The way He made this world so perfect is like the plans He has for you. So perfect.. Each spec of dust was and is placed in the most perfect spot. If God can do that, imagine the plans He has for you. In your life, God will allow your plans to unfold at the perfect time, place, and way. All you have to do, is trust. Open your heart, your soul, and your mind and allow God to speak to you.
No matter who you are, no matter what you’re going through please please remember, God knows what He is doing. You are in the position you are in, right now, for a certain reason. You are not an accident and you have a reason on this earth. Things may not turn out the way you wanted or the way you expected it to, but how can you go against the King of Kings plans for your life? Nothing is more amazing than having God be the guide of your life. He cares and loves you so much. More than anyone could ever. God only wants the best for you. Find it in your heart to give everything to Him because in the end, He is always going to be there for you. Follow Him.
“Show me the right path, O Lord; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you.” Psalm 25:4-5
Trusting God is like Peter walking on water. Once you stop trusting Him, you start sinking.
Let go and let God.
It is never about Jesus if it’s always about us.
I pray that The Lord may speak to you through me, I can only hope I can help you in your relationship with Christ.
