Well to start off, Happy Thanksgiving! We are so blessed with a loving God who never lets us down, who only loves us more. We are so blessed that we have a God who longs for a relationship for each one of His children. We are so blessed that we are able to express our religion and faith in public. I hope each one of you thank God for all the blessings you’ve received, known and unknown.
Did you know that we have a jealous God? He wants all of us, every moment of every day. He wants to have no priorities before Him, because He is enough. God gets jealous when you wake up in the morning and start getting dressed and don’t thank Him for another day. He wants to be at the top of your list – every day of your life.
However, it’s not as easy as it sounds. Life gets in the way, we get too busy, we forget.. Well, that’s what we say at least. God’s not too busy for you, He doesn’t forget to love you everyday, He doesn’t forget to bless you. God wants us to make time for Him – to sit and mediate on His good deeds.
“He must become greater and greater, and I must become less and less.” John 3:30
When you’re in a relationship, your partner may get jealous when you look at someone else, flirt with someone else, or just give someone else attention that you want. It may a person, or it may just be a video game. (Sorry Braiden) My point is, you want that person all to yourself because your love for them is so strong, you care about them so much. So how come someone on the Earth can get so much attention but God who is eternal, can’t?
In Exodus 20, the Ten Commandments are listed. In verse 5, it says “You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other Gods.”
God wants you to know that is a jealous God. You are one of His children and He wants all of you. Not once a week at church, not just on a holiday, but every day. God wants that alone time with you – to become closer and grow a relationship with you.
After all, doesn’t God deserve to be put first in your life?
~Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.~ Matthew 6:33
I stared this blog in about January of 2016 to share His Word in a creative way. I was praying one night, and it kind of just came onto my heart.
I pray that The Lord may speak to you through me, I can only hope I can help you in your relationship with Christ.
